of western montana very dry and much of california, western nevada extremely dry. other than that just talking patches here and there of dry conditions. here is the jet stream as we head into this week. one of the things that we are looking at is exactly how this next trough reacts. now, for a while it doesn't look like it does much. and then the computer models seem to dig it into the northern parts of the plains into the great lakes by thursday and friday. and that could bring a direct shot of cool air off the arctic circle. and in this case, it wouldn't be anything like the winter. but nonetheless, you would get rid of all of the heat and humidity that you are seeing this weekend as we head towards next thursday and friday. that's something we will watch exactly how that happens. but the trough is replaced by a ridge out west which means you folks will be heating up. here is the monday forecast. you can see we are going to be pushing a cold front a across the great lakes into central mississippi and central missouri valley. that will push the storms through that area. also hit and m

of it that are dry. parts of the west coast, washington, oregon, montana seeing some dry areas as well. >> let's check out the situation then as we head into this week. a trough lingering across the eastern school board. remnants of bill will be moving into the north atlantic northward with this jet stream. as you can see this trough is going to quickly diminish so we'll see a warmup between for a couple days over the great lakes, maybe a shot of chilly air later next week. other than that you'll notice very little movement, the jet stream staying pretty pharmaceutical north, that means you kind of stay in your summertime mode for most of those areas. here is the monday map. we do see a stationery front for central texas. that could be good news for some spots in texas although it's usually hit and miss in this situation. high pressure over the great lakes will keep it dry in that area, another cold front bringing some scattered showers and thunderstorms into northern plains to the central rockies. that will scoot through the great lakes and into the northeast by wednesday stalling out with an

this cold front, 64 degrees in billings, montana. we will cool down a little bit at the end of the week. until then we will be dealing with the steamy, muggy air mass and the chance and potential for thunderstorms to fire up. right around 7:00, there's the future scan model, a shower of storms stemming from new jersey, pennsylvania, and maryland and virginia. just the potential is there throughout the daytime for today and then a better chance for actually widespread rainshowers will come tomorrow as the cold front does inch closer. around 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning on friday, look at the line of shower and storms ahead of the cold front in pennsylvania. another round could move in here by friday right around 2:00. once the cold front pushes through on late friday into early saturday, there's the air mass. high pressure system is going to bblebuild for sunday and mondayd nice and pleasant conditions. >>> let's take you to the tropics and talk about hurricane bill. it has weakened a little bit. it's category iii with massive winds at 127 miles an hour. but still look at the system. it's
